Day 291: It has long been said that Sontarans are exclusively male, but we have recently observed a female Sontaran on the planet Zebes chasing after a rare saber-toothed Rutan. Unfortunately, she took over 5 hours to exterminate the Rutan, so we did not observe her without her helmet.
Day 177-B: It’s been quite some time since I’ve drawn a bonus draw, but I ended up drawing something else before the request for a Get Well Card for @HolyDalek. The original drawing was actually intended as this, but with a different angle. Unfortunately, the angle I started drawing was too high, leaving me drawing an overhead shot. The overhead shot looked flattened, so I changed it to a roadrunner theme and started over on the card.
I was definitely off on my drawing tonight. I’m not satisfied with any part of this, to be honest. Particularly my attempt at drawing @LustfulSloth who requested the card be made in the first place. I’m bad at drawing humans, but this was awful. o(>
I originally planned to color it, but with all that went wrong tonight, I decided not to ruin it further.
Day 70: I started this on Day 70, and for the first time ran completely out of time without a chance to substitute another drawing. o(>
I have had this one planned for several days, but due to all the detail and two human forms, I was very hesitant to start it. I happened to pick the wrong day to do it. The Dalek and sign were simple enough to draw, but the Sontaran, and especially the Zocci heads were difficult to get right. Their outfits were also a bit painstaking.
If it’s difficult to tell what’s going on here, the Dalek drone is managing admittance to the Last Great Time War. The Sontarans were apparently too short, but the even-shorter Zocci came up with a way around that (note the stilts sticking out the bottom of the trench coat).
Really wishing I had a tan pen.
